Ernie Dambach – Founder & Brand Ambassador

For over 20 years, Ernie has led Tahoe Tech Group from a garage on Donner Lake to a trusted IT partnership serving 500+ users across the region. He combines technical expertise with genuine care for people, believing that when you empower great people with the right tools, everyone grows together. When not leading TTG, he’s exploring the outdoors and volunteering in the community, earning both Business of the Year and personal Volunteer of the Year recognition.

Carl LeBlanc, Partner & Driver of Growth

Carl has driven Tahoe Tech Group’s expansion across the Lake Tahoe Basin and nationwide, bringing his business and entrepreneurship expertise to fuel strategic growth. He’s passionate about making technology work for people, not against them, while championing TTG’s healthy work-life balance culture. When not growing the business, Carl’s skiing, catching live music, or supporting local arts and environmental causes.

Joel Tillman – Systems Engineer, Cybersecurity Expert

Joel joined Tahoe Tech Group in 2018, bringing over two decades of IT expertise that started in 1995 with a lifelong passion for technology. As a system administrator specializing in cybersecurity and cloud services, he holds CISSP and M365 Expert Administrator certifications that keep TTG at the forefront of security and productivity solutions. His unparalleled ability to solve complex problems makes him invaluable to clients, while his downtime is spent snowboarding, biking, hiking, and enjoying quality time with his kids.

Nick Shmel, Systems Engineer & Ops Scaling

Nick joined Tahoe Tech Group in 2020, helping scale operations and improve client service with his expertise in Windows, macOS, Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and cybersecurity. He leads TTG’s service dispatch while delivering practical, results-focused solutions and building strong client relationships by making technology approachable and easy to understand. Outside work, this endurance athlete and licensed pilot pushes limits through marathons, triathlons, and mountain adventures, sharing a life of aviation and outdoor exploration with his pilot wife of over 16 years.

Alex Murillo – Sys Admin, Service Superstar

Alex has been with Tahoe Tech Group since 2021, bringing a lifelong passion for technology that started with tinkering at age 10. He constantly works with technology both on and off the job – from cars and phones to tablets and computers – delivering quick response times that leave clients with smiling faces. When not solving tech problems, Alex works on automotive projects, enjoys jumping into cold lakes and climbing big rocks. Alex is a ferocious learner and brings that knowledge to clients with unreasonable hospitality.
